Our Story

Innate synonyms: Inborn; natural; unlearned; instinctive.

Chiropractic was built around a single word; innate. When the spine is correctly aligned, the body has the innate, or natural born ability, to heal itself. In other words, a healthy spine equals a healthy body, which equals a happy you!

Doudna Chiropractic was established in March of 1989 by Stephen Doudna II, a Doctor of Chiropractic. His son, Dalton Doudna, joined the practice in August of 2017 adding additional hours to the practice and will eventually take it over. They have a passion for serving others, and together they serve the Caldwell and surrounding area spreading health and happiness to each person and family they touch.

“From a young age I knew I wanted to be a chiropractor. I’m sure countless of chiropractors around the world have probably said the same thing, but I meant it with certainty! I come from a family of chiropractors including my dad, my grandfather, my great-grandfather, and three of my dad’s brothers. I grew up around chiropractic and I’ve witnessed time and time again the amazing success stories that have came from a chiropractic adjustment. Many chiropractors joined the profession because of a life changing, positive experience they had from a chiropractic visit. I haven’t had one of these experiences personally, however, growing up, I heard about them on a daily basis. Hearing my family talk about the lives they were able to change is what drove me into the healthcare field. Specifically, chiropractic.”

“I grew up in Pleasant City, a small rural town in Southeast Ohio. I have two amazing parents and two amazing siblings. As stated earlier, I knew in high school that I wanted to be a chiropractor. I received a scholarship and acceptance into a physical therapist assistant program that I attended and graduated from in pursuance of my chiropractic degree. I then moved to Davenport, Iowa where I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic (the same school that my chiropractic relatives attended. In fact, I had multiple teachers that my dad had when he was in school!). After three and a half years of early mornings for class and late night study sessions, I was a Doctor of Chiropractic.”

“Along my journey, I met my beautiful wife, Maddy, and have since had 3 beautiful babies, Oaklee, Urban, and Indie. We moved from Iowa to Ohio in July 2017 and I’m blessed to be serving the people in the area that I grew up in as well as raise our kids in the same area. We look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones as we transition back into the community!”
